AI Personalization: Turning Browsers into Buyers

Insights  —  2026

Personalisation is useful when it helps a visitor reach a relevant product faster. It is not useful when the site hides everything else.

A practical starting point is behaviour you already have: pages viewed, items added, and orders completed. Use that to suggest a next step, not to rebuild the whole page for every visit.

Keep the full catalogue easy to browse. Suggestions should sit beside the normal path, with a clear way back. If a recommendation is wrong, the visitor should still be able to search and filter without friction.

Treat the first version as something you can measure. Watch whether people open the suggestion and whether they complete the action you hoped for. Adjust the rules from that, instead of adding more automation on day one.
